BELIEVE in Yourself!
These three steps are the boiled down, absolute basic & fundamentally important things you need to do in order to change your current state of existence, no matter where you’re at in your life. These three steps used will absolutely maximize your fitness journey, as well as any journey you choose to apply them towards! In fact, these three steps are so powerful that they are a large part of the foundational & fundamental philosophy beneath how I choose to live my life!
Furthermore, this is how you CREATE your future! Some people say “Who know what the future holds” , but I call that a defeatists perspective. You absolutely can predict your future- All you have to do is CREATE it! Yes, that is a super optimistic perspective. But why not be a super optimist? Have an optimistic mindset, & have optimistic thoughts because “..your thoughts become your words, your words become your actions, your actions become your habits, your habits become your character, your character determines your Destiny..” It’s simple ass math! So let’s do this!!! Let’s go deeper into these three steps that will transform your existence. If you’re a living, eating, breathing human, then these steps are pivotal for seeing life changing results, to ELEVATE your existence, for progressing physically, mentally & spiritually, and all at record speeds! Let’s dive in:
1. Set GOALS!
This is how we START creating our future! But you have to write them down! Make them tangible! Make both long term, & short term goals. Meet with yourself regularly to check in & see how you’re doing.
Behavioral driven goals are short term, like “I will exercise 1 hour a day, 6 days a week” for example. They are the bricks that you CREATE your future with, and you can celebrate your successes on the daily, as you achieve these micro goals!
Results driven goals are long term, like “I want to get to 10% body fat” for example. It’s easy to get discouraged if we only set results driven goals, so use both behavioral and results driven goals together to maximize your chances for success! Stack the odds in your favor! Once you’ve attained a goal, celebrate for a moment, and then get back to it! Make more goals! Have fun with it! Sure it’s the journey, not the destination, but choosing the destination is absolutely pivotal for an intrinsic, authentic & amazing journey!
2. Choose Your FRIENDS!
This is the MOST IMPORTANT thing! Everything else will fall into place if you take this to the heart! My Mother used to tell me “Show me your friends & I’ll tell you who you are”, & I’ve heard others say “You are a summation of the 5 people you spend the most time with”. I couldn’t agree with this more. I mean just look around you. People are near enough exactly who they hang out with! So choose to spend your time with inspiring people, people who lift you up! Surround yourself with positive humans & friends that hold you to an even higher standard than you hold yourself! Also, strive to be that inspiring person as well. Like attracts like. Remember that.
3. BELIEVE in Yourself!
Believe & you will achieve. If you have belief then you will try! The inspirational Greg Plitt said “the difference between winners & spectators is that winners have a belief that is so strong, it overrides the disbelief of the spectators”. When winners fail they don’t scurry off to the sidelines & join the spectators- they pick themselves up, learn from their mistakes, maintain belief in success & try again, even harder than before. This could happen several times, but winners belief stays strong! That’s why they’re winners! You never lose until you stop trying! It’s such a simple concept, what’s hard is implementing this mindset & philosophy. But you know how you can start. BELIEVE IN YOURSELF!!!! CREATE A REALITY SO THICK THAT NO ONE CAN DENY IT!!! NO ONE! Not even the doubting side of yourself! You’ve got this! Whether you believe you can or you can’t, guess what?? YOU’RE RIGHT! So choose to BELIEVE!!
